From Food Security to Climate Resilience
Amid the growing challenges of climate change, Thai President Foods Public Company Limited recognizes that long-term food security depends on the responsible stewardship of natural resources and the environment. The Company is therefore advancing its environmental commitment by transitioning toward a Low-Carbon Organization, integrating climate-related risks and opportunities into business strategy and decision-making processes. This approach enhances value chain resilience, improves resource efficiency, and supports sustainable operations across every stage of the production process.

Climate-related Performance Indicators
Senior executives, including Dr. Pojanee Paniangvait, Member of the Corporate Sustainability Development Committee, and Dr. Poj Paniangvait, Chairman of the Corporate Sustainability Development Committee and President, are evaluated based on climate and environmental key performance indicators (KPIs) as follows:
Corporate Position on Government Policies
Thai President Foods Public Company Limited recognizes the urgency of addressing the climate crisis, which is not only an environmental challenge but also a critical factor impacting economic stability and global supply chains. We are committed to being part of the solution by setting greenhouse gas emission reduction targets aligned with the Paris Agreement and Thailand's national goals to ensure environmental security and sustainable economic growth for the country.
The Company maintains a clear stance and readiness to support Thailand’s draft Climate Change Act. We recognize that establishing an internationally standardized Measurement, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) system, phased implementation of carbon pricing mechanisms—including both carbon taxation and an Emission Trading Scheme (ETS)—and promoting a well-governed carbon credit market will serve as essential foundations. These measures will ensure a level playing field for business operations while effectively enhancing the competitive advantage of the Thai private sector on the global stage, paving the way for a just and sustainable transition.
Climate-Related Stance and Engagement with Trade Associations
The Company is committed to conducting business with ethics, transparency, and social and environmental responsibility, in alignment with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Recognizing that membership in trade associations and various industrial organizations is vital to driving the economy, the Company is dedicated to reviewing and alignment of its climate change practices and policies with the positions and operations of the trade associations to which it belongs. This ensures that policy implementation at all levels is unified and genuinely supports sustainability goals.
However, to protect the best interests of the public and our stakeholders, in the event that the stance, policies, or activities of any trade association significantly conflict with the Company’s climate position, the Company has guidelines to respond appropriately. This includes participating in discussions to express our intent, reviewing our membership role, or considering the termination of support as necessary, in order to maintain the highest commitment to our corporate environmental dedication.
Supporting Technology for Natural Resource Assessment
The Company supports the use of Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) remote sensing technology to create 3D maps for the precise assessment of forest biomass and carbon sequestration. This initiative serves as a foundation for Digital Green Infrastructure, enhancing targeted forest restoration in alignment with the national Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 15).
Eco-friendly production process (Green Process)
The Company implements greenhouse gas reduction measures in its manufacturing processes through three primary approaches:
(1) Machine Efficiency Improvement: Upgrading to high-efficiency motors (IE3) along with optimizing cooling systems and energy-saving lighting (LED).
(2) Process Waste Reduction: Implementing automated control systems to manage steam cycles and waste heat recovery.
(3) Clean Energy Transition: Expanding solar power generation capacity (Solar Rooftop) across core factories and preparing a transition roadmap for biomass fuel integration.
Carbon Footprint
of Products (CFP)
The Company is committed to creating eco-friendly products by promoting the assessment and development ofCarbon Footprint of Products (CFP) which involves assessing greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product's life cycle (Life Cycle Assessment) to address sustainability goals.
Currently, the Company has products certified bythe Thailand Greenhouse Gas Management Organization (Public Organization) (TGO) totaling 20 items, demonstrating accountability for greenhouse gas emissions throughout the product life cycle.
The Company utilizes CFP assessment results as key inputs for product planning and design, analyzing high-emission stages across the product life cycle to determine mitigation pathways. These include optimizing packaging to lower its carbon footprint, as well as evaluating and selecting raw materials and supply chain partners with lower carbon footprints.
